Bean & Corn Dip

This is great with chips and if I'm short points I'll just eat it with a spoon. It is really good on a lettuce salad and would probably be good on top of a broiled chicken breast, etc.

2 cans of drained black beans
1 can of drained whole kernel corn
1/2 yellow bell pepper diced
3 Tablespoons diced jal. peppers
1/2 bottle fat free Italian dressing

This is 1 point for a half cup serving

First Week Results!!!!!

Well, we had a great first week. The group lost a total of 27.8 pounds!!!! That is awesome. Those receiving individual awards for losing 5 pounds or more are: Debbie for 8.6 pounds, Julie for 6.8 pounds, and Christy C. for 5.4 pounds. Congratulations! We are facing a challenging week this week (Thanksgiving) so keep up the good work.

Soups


I don't know about you but soups save my life. I'm not always organized enough to have a lunch packed so I just keep some cans of soup in my office and have them for lunch or even a snack. The label says 0 points (that's for 1 serving) but there are 2 servings per can. If you eat the whole can the points = 2. Only on WW can 0 points + 0 points = 2 points!

Week One

Well, it's Tuesday and we've completed a week of WW. How was it for everyone? I was soooo hungry the first day (Wednesday) but it has been better since then. Hope you all have a good weigh in today. Good thing there are no males in our group because I plan to strip down to bare essentials before weighing!

Products, Products, Products


There are a lot of products that you can buy that make eating right easier. But you can spend a lot of money on stuff you don't really like so we are asking for suggestions on products you have tried and like and also their point value. If you like oatmeal this is suppose to be really good. It is 2 points.

WW Cake

This is a simple cake to make and you can make any flavor you want. All you do is use one cake mix (lemon is my favorite) and add 1 diet soda and bake. No water, egg or oil. Choose your soda to complement your cake mix. I use lemon lime when I use the lemon cake mix and coke or cherry coke when I use a chocolate cake mix. For icing you can use the fat free cool whip and add a fat free yogurt. I use lemon burst yogurt with the cool whip for my lemon cake. The strawberry cake mix is good too with cool whip and fresh strawberries on top. Store the cake in the frig. I LOVE it!

Cut the cake into 12 pieces (these are fairly large size servings) If you have cake only it is 2 points, if you have cake with icing it is 3 points.

Getting Started

Twelve Plainview staff members met at 3:30 on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 in the board room to get started on a life changing adventure. We started a Weight Watchers at Work group. The advantage of a WW at Work group is that you are surrounded by a support group. You aren't the only one counting points and making better eating decisions. Everyone in the group may have a different weight goal but we all have one goal in common: eat healthier and lose weight.
